Exit Readiness Check

The Exit Readiness Check is designed to identify the required steps in order to maximize the information provided by a portfolio company in the event of an exit. The ERC is carried out one year before the exit and its core consists of the following three points:

  • Preparation of necessary information used for the data room
  • Process, systems and reporting maturity checks
  • Ensurance that the required data for the “transaction parties” is available and of high quality

The maturity check component is an assessment of a portfolio’s current maturity level in comparison to the expected level. The expected maturity level is based on the business lifecycle phase and the complexity of Accounting & Control of a portfolio company.

The Exit Readiness Check ensures that an exit is optimally facilitated. For both, the Accounting & Control Assessment as well as the Exit Readiness Check, the findings and recommendations of the investigation are presented graphically. This makes the results clear and easy to interpret. The results of the Exit Readiness Check further provide immediate insights into the progress made after an Accounting & Control Assessment has been possibly performed earlier.
